The UL Lafayette Safety Committee promotes a proactive culture of safety by identifying risks, supporting compliance, and advancing best practices to protect the University community and support its academic and research mission.
Through collaboration, education, and continuous improvement, the Safety Committee works to:
- Advise University leadership on safety policies, programs, and emerging risks
- Promote awareness of environmental, health, and safety best practices
- Review incidents, hazards, and trends to recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Support compliance with applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Encourage engagement and accountability across all campus units
The Safety Committee is committed to embedding safety into everyday operations and decision‑making, ensuring that the University of Louisiana at Lafayette remains a secure and resilient learning and working environment.
